Introduction

Learning Curve Group are one of the most passionate training providers in the UK who aim to transform lives through learning everyday. We are looking for an IQA to work on a self employed basis for Hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

•    Plan a sampling approach based on the Company strategy
•    Interim Internal verification for allocated tutors/assessors
•    Summative Internal Quality Assurance activity
•    Health check sampling where full IQA is not required, ensuring all completion paperwork is correct
•    Provide information and support to allocated assessors/tutors to ensure they understand the Awarding     Organisation and EPAO criteria 
•    Provide Learning Curve Group with accurate information and documentation to meet agreed deadlines relating to verification activity including the updating of the sampling plan and records on our system
•    Attend standardisation and CPD events to keep up to date with changes in legislation, funding and awarding body requirements and to share good practice
•    Plan and lead standardisation and training activity as required
•    Occasional development and other assessment related activity, where IQA activity is not required

Essential Criteria
  • Detailed knowledge of the Education Inspection Framework
  • Detailed knowledge of the company’s Quality Framework and audit regime
  • Detailed and practical understanding of teaching, learning and assessment for learning
  • Detailed knowledge of Internal Quality Assurance
  • Detailed knowledge around hospitality standards
  • Relevant teaching qualification 
  • Relevant Assessor Qualification
  • Relevant Internal Quality Assurer Qualification
  • Relevant sector qualifications
  • Appropriate teaching, assessing and verification experience in terms of breadth and depth
  • Experience in developing the practice of others
  • A track record of outcomes against KPIs
  • A trend of consistently good or better teaching observations
  • Development, coaching and/or mentoring experience
  • Demonstrable experience of sharing practice and resources
  • Demonstrate experience of developing and quality assuring practitioners in a range of hospitality programmes
  • Outstanding communication skills (interpersonal, written
