This role requires you to manage on the production of all commercial bids and funding applications for Learning Curve Group the Bid Manager will strengthen the market position of the business by contributing to the right market strategy, managing the bid function and developing bid/proposal tools to win new business consistent with strategic direction of Learning Curve You’ll need these important qualities: • Extensive bid life cycle experience (bid writing / pricing / supply chain etc) • The ability to work at pace • Good communication skills across all levels of the organisation • Management skills – working with the Senior Bid Writers to complete a Bid in a timely manner • Flexible • Proactive • Multi-tasker

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, positivity and success, driving a winning strategy
  • Identify suitable bid opportunities
  • Manage kick off meetings, solution developments, complete presentations of the bid/solution to stakeholders and liaise with other departments to prepare a winning bid
  • Work as a team with indirect reports to produce high quality bids
  • Manage the tender process and liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to assign actions ensuring timescales are achieved
  • Produce bids and tenders inline with specification documents
  • Provide a highly effective service to members of the Executive team in the course of preparing to submit pre-contract information and documentation
  • Maintain the bid register to track the submission and results of awarded contracts
  • Support with Daily/Weekly/Monthly monitoring of external tender websites to obtain information on new available tenders
  • Work with colleagues across the business to gather intelligence and date to support tenders and bids
  • Work with supply chain to develop network to enrich bids and enhance opportunities
  • Develop a good understanding of the business so bid development is rich
  • Support with the development of a Bid library of content
  • Maintain and ensure access to up to date quality information required for the submission of tenders to funding partners
  • Provide a reliable and effective service to internal and external customers
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations
  • Undertake such duties as may be required commensurate with the level of responsibility and nature of the job in discussion with your line manager
  • Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviours

Essential Criteria
  • Experience in the management of the bid life cycle and winning bids
  • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders and manage, motivate and support them throughout the bid life cycle
  • Take accountability for and manage the compliance of bid submissions
  • Excellent IT skills - including word, excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to analyse complex information and data
  • Identify and share lessons learned as inputs to the continuous improvements of LCG’s bidding process and tools.
