Learning Curve Group is a national training provider going through an exciting change and growth across all of its services. We have become a key player in a high-profile Government initiative delivering 16 weeks of intensive, fully funded IT courses to get people into Tech roles around South East region. As part of this growth, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to support the appointed Head of Digital Academy strategic vision within our Digital Training division. The post holder will be accountable for leading on the sales strategy and make a significant contribution to the growth of our company; play an essential role in forging and developing relationships with Employers, Local Jobcentres, working with them to deliver programmes specifically for their recruitment needs. This is a national, field-based role with once-a-month travel to Head Office and clients visit across the South East region. As an essential car user, you must hold a full UK driving licence, be a confident and able driver, have access to your own vehicle and have the right to live and work in the UK.

MY MAIN DUTIES

• To identify employers who have employment opportunities and develop and maintain strong relationships to understand their recruitment/training needs
• Recruit learners to training opportunities providing progression to employment around South East Region
• Arrange and attend careers events for local employers to attract prospective learners/employees
• Support learners in securing employment opportunities with local employers
• Responsibility for the management of own KPI’s 
• Represent us on various advisory bodies and business forums
• Identify employment opportunities linked within the training and qualifications that we provide within our provision
• Provide support to employers at all stages of recruitment to maximise funding and training opportunities before and after successful placement of learners.
• To identify and engage in communication with local employment partnership groups to promote our services and identify employment opportunities
• Responding to client enquiries and providing support to their requirements
• Attending promotions days at clients premises when required and promoting the companies services to potential customers/learners
• Attending careers events in order to promote Learning Curve Group.
• Carrying out initial assessment activities, identify individual learner support requirements and communicate to the relevant colleagues
• Support the tracking of the learners upon completion into a positive destination for a period of 16 weeks
• Accurately and timely completion of all recruitment documentation
• Conduct your role in line with the company value and expected behaviours

• Comply with the Safeguarding, Prevent and Health and Safety Policies and be vigilant to potential concerns and risks
• Always ensure confidentially and professionalism

Key Accountabilities: 
You will be judged on the following aspects: 
• Evaluating the market landscape (including strengths and weaknesses of competitors) and scope out opportunities to win new business
• Develop and deliver high-calibre propositions and presentations for existing and prospective clients at senior, executive and board level
• Add to and maintain our prospect business pipeline and assist in the development of an ongoing client generation strategy
• Contribute to overall business activity, including networking events and conferences
• Work alongside the Head of Digital Academy and appropriate LCG colleagues to create and deliver the strategy around creating additional revenue streams

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA 
• Tenacious with ability to self-motivate
• An understanding of the needs of business and the importance of skills to business competitiveness
• Previous experience of successful business development ideally in the B2B service sector, with a background which includes both sales and marketing
• Previous experience operating at a management level with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding challenging targets through their own activity and through the effective management of staff and resources
• An excellent communicator and seller at all stakeholder levels
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Strategic thinker with a clear vision
• Knowledge of the Tech and digital industry would be desirable
