Introduction

In this role you will be a part of our internal marketing agency, working closely with the wider marketing team to ensure we are following best practice and fully utilising the possibilities of digital marketing within our marketing strategies to achieve digital excellence. This will include working with a CRM system to segment our audience and owning our website CMS system. The role will also see you utilising email marketing, social media and SEO, online advertising, PPC, and all elements of digital marketing. Measuring the success of campaigns and activities will be imperative to ensure the department is delivering a positive return on investment. Knowledge of the training / further education sector would be a bonus but is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

DUTIES                                                                                                                                            
  • Owning the company website CMS, ensuring it is continually optimised and working with all stakeholders to ensure it is up to date
  • Will take the lead on search engine marketing, where appropriate, using Search Console, Analytics, AdWords for SEO and PPC 
  • Will work with the team to establish and deliver our social media strategy
  • Champion the use of our CRM system, working collaboratively across departments to encourage buy-in and foster a CRM-first approach to lead generation and follow-up
  • Co-manage data in ZoHo CRM and ZoHo Campaigns email marketing platform 
  • Working closely with the marketing team to deliver content appropriate to the business objectives and plans
  • Training digital marketing executives on SEO/CRO/PPC/Social Media Advertising
  • CRO improvements to website and landing pages
  • Automation of marketing activities
  • Regular reporting of activity and performance
  • Be on the pulse of digital developments and updating wider team of changes/trends/new platforms on the horizon
  • Ensure that all activity is in line with brand guidelines and company objectives
  • Monitoring competitor activity
  • Comply with the company’s policy and procedures and maintain close liaison with all departments on activities
  • Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviours
  • Implement and comply with the Safeguarding and Health and Safety Policies
  • Ensure the maintenance of confidentially and professionalism at all time

  • Analytical – to analyse marketing data and generate actionable outputs to improve marketing campaigns
  • Logical – to plan and implement marketing automations
  • Great communicator - Being able to explain tracking across the various marketing platforms such as Facebook, Google Ads, LinkedIn etc.
  • Technical knowledge – Understanding the workings of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Google Ads to suggest best practices
  • Results driven - Understanding and ability to report ROI from marketing activity
  • Team player - The ability to work as part of a close-knit, friendly marketing team and with to deliver results to support the demands of a growing business
  • Excellent communication skills - as you will work with a range of internal stakeholders at all levels as well as external partners and agencies
  • Flexibility - adapt quickly to changing circumstances and needs to shift focus in line with business needs
  • Working to deadlines - Good time management skills, able to work well under pressure, to time constraints
  • Enthusiastic - understanding of the ever-evolving digital marketing landscape… and the ever-evolving education landscape!

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Demonstrable experience in Google Analytics, Google Search Console and other Google tools
  • Demonstrable experience implementing marketing automations such as email workflows
  • Demonstrable experience tracking multichannel marketing campaigns and websites
  • Demonstrable experience reporting across multiple marketing channels
  • Knowledge/Awareness of CRM systems such as Zoho CRM
  • Demonstrable experience with website CMS systems – notably October and Umbracco
  • Demonstrable experience launching and migrating websites
  • Ability to pick up and understand new (and sometimes complex) information quickly
  • Understanding of tracking, remarketing through retargeting and audience analysis
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a real desire to suggest and drive improvements
  • Confidence to suggest new ideas
  • Ability to pick up and understand new (and sometimes complex) information quickly
  • Great copywriting ability
  • Good time management abilities and able to work on multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results
