At Learning Curve Group, we are experiencing an unprecedented period of growth and are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who can help ensure our technology solutions can keep up with the needs of our learners. This is a greenfield development opportunity to join our Business Systems department testers to deliver complex internal and external system development projects across a variety of products and technologies.

Key Responsibilities

As a QA Software Tester you will help build and deliver on projects as part of a team of software developers. The post holder will build and execute test plans but also contribute during the requirements, architecture, design, and development activities so that the team's approach improves overall product quality and facilitates testing. You will also be required to advise on how to improve our development processes. Experience with automated testing tools is important-but however we are looking for somebody that understands and appreciates user experience.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Manage and use the available testing tools
  • Contribute to the quality of the developed functionality
  • Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Ownership of the test function of the LCG development process
  • Design, develop, execute, debug and improve automation scripts
  • Perform usability tests
  • Create and manage integration tests
  • Ensure that the functionalities meet the business objectives and integrate within the overall company vision  
  • Monitor and track production issues
  • Review automated tests written by the development team.
  • Proactively identify system anomalies or bugs. Clearly document and identify priority level.
  • Consistently maintain the highest standards for the projects we deliver.
Essential Criteria
  • Manual testing experience
  • Ability to script testing within a CI/CD pipeline
  • Ability to work in a highly fluid and adaptive environment
  • Experience of risk-based testing
  • Exceptional attention to detail and self confidenceThe ability to solve problems
  •  Good understanding of Agile Development
