Introduction

As a Systems Support Engineer working at Learning Curve Group, you will be working alongside 4 other support members. As part of the IT support team you will be closely involved with helping colleagues with IT issues raised as helpdesk tickets and dealing with escalated and more complex tickets with the offer of support with our technical partner when needed. As you progress you will also provide support to the server infrastructure at our head office and academies across the UK including London based offices. Supporting the business and team members with the critical updates and security patches each month when required.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities 

The support and maintenance of: 

  • Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 - 2019 

  • UTM Firewall SSL Client deployment and VPN management 

  • iPhone and Android Phone deployment 

  • Virtual machines such as RDS hosts and virtual servers 

  • Office 365 cloud service management 

  • Active Directory and group policy management 

  • Carrying out remediation actions following penetration testing results 

  • VOIP Telephone System management and support & user management 

  • Maintaining core line of business applications and applying patches/updates 

  • Monitoring, managing and resolving issues that arise within the company network including Wireless networks to ensure they performance as expected 

  • Helpdesk escalation and overflow 

  • Assist with training of staff 

  • Maintaining and creating IT training material 

  • Server and other network appliance management (physical and virtual) 

  • Equipment installation and moving 

  • Configuring and building new IT hardware and equipment 

  • Maintaining and setup up new academies infrastructure dealing with multiple vendors 

  • Inventory logging and asset control 

  • Site visits to London, local area and other UK offices as needed including Liverpool 

  • Creating various new user accounts and setting up associated access and programs

 

Experience: 

  • IT Support: Minimum of 3 years (preferred)
