Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) can support you to create a skilled workforce for your business. They are designed to help meet your immediate and future recruitment needs as well as to recruit a workforce with the right skills to sustain and grow your business while giving individuals the chance at sustained, meaningful employment.

Lasting up to 6 weeks, they consist of 3 key elements:

Pre-employment training

This will be relevant to the needs of your business and sector to ensure those taking part get the essential skills to succeed in your workplace.

Work placement

This stage helps both your business and the individual as it allows the individual to develop the skills you need as well as get the opportunity to work in your business; this helps you and them determine if you're a match for each other.

Interview

It's essential each individual on the SWAP is given the chance to interview for the job at the end of the programme.

SWAPs can bring a whole host of benefits to your business and your recruitment strategy, which include:
