Our apprenticeship programmes empower businesses by providing access to our skilled Vocational Skills Coaches in areas such as Beauty Therapist (Level 2), Advanced Beauty Therapist (Level 3), Barbering and Hairdressing Professional (Level 2), Advanced Creative and Hair Professional (Level 3), and Wellbeing and Holistic Therapist (Level 2). Through an industry-focused, immersive learning experience, apprentices develop essential practical skills and gain an in-depth understanding of industry dynamics, ethical standards, and best practices.

Beauty Therapist Level 2

A beauty therapist works independently or as part of a team, supported by a manager when completing treatments as a key part of a beauty business. They demonstrate a willingness to learn, have an enquiring and curious mind and are enthusiastic to learn about their chosen career. In addition, they exhibit a good work ethic applied to learning, drive and commitment to learn and maintain continual professional development. They deliver essential one-to-one beauty therapy treatments whilst maintaining the organisation’s image, financial viability and reputation.

Advanced Beauty Therapist Level 3

An advanced beauty therapist can be employed within the beauty industry, travel, leisure and health sectors, in a variety of salons, spas and aesthetic environments. The broad purpose of this occupation is to provide, design and implement bespoke treatment plans. These advanced treatments range from advanced manual therapies, such as advanced massage techniques, to technical therapies such as face and body electrical treatments, to meet and manage client needs and expectations.

Barbering Professional Level 2

A barbering professional will be able to shampoo and condition hair, cut hair using a range of barbering techniques, style and finish hair to create a variety of looks, cut facial hair into shape and provide shaving services. Barbers must be able to work with all hair types, characteristics and classifications, ranging from straight hair to very curly hair with texture. They also need to be able to carry out consultations with clients, demonstrate professionalism, values, behaviours, communication skills, retail skills, alongside safe working practices associated with their role.

Hairdressing Professional Level 2

Hairdressers will be able to shampoo and condition hair, cut hair using a range of techniques, style and finish hair to create a variety of looks, and colour and lighten hair for ladies and men. Hairdressers must be able to work with all hair types, ranging from straight hair to very curly, wiry hair. They also need to be able to carry out consultations with clients, demonstrate the professionalism, values, behaviours, communication skills and safe working practices associated with their role.

Advanced Creative and Hair Professional Level 3

Advanced and creative hair professionals provide a quality service, whilst working to the highest standards and continuously developing their personal and professional skills. They take ownership of their work and client lists, accept responsibility, are proactive, flexible and adaptable, plan their work and time, they aim for excellence by taking exceptional pride in their work and industry. The work environment can be varied in size, style and ambience, from a bespoke salon, the media industry, cruise ships, product houses and manufacturers to a luxury high-end hair salon.

Wellbeing and Holistic Therapist Level 2

The primary purpose of this occupation is to create, implement, and adapt tailored holistic and wellbeing experiences in various settings, ensuring treatment and experience outcomes are met in a private and secure environment. Wellbeing and holistic therapists use principles, theories, and applications of holistic therapy to provide treatments that calm or stimulate the sensory perceptions of the body and mind, aiming to achieve optimal functioning and balance in daily life. They offer specific treatments like aromatherapy, acupressure, holistic massage, Indian head massage, lymphatic drainage, and wellness experiences.
