Introduction

This role requires you to provide support to full-time tutors delivering on Flexible Learning programmes nationwide. You will responsible for training tutors, provide curriculum support and ensure tutors comply with CPD mandatory requirements. You will also be responsible for performance management and appraisals of full time tutors, approve team holidays and manage a small caseload of learners which will be agreed. You’ll need these important qualities:  Excellent communication skills  Passionate about transforming people’s lives through learning  Drive and enthusiasm in developing and supporting tutors  Monitor and meet deadlines for learner timely completions  Focus on delivering high quality support and assessment  Ability to work on own and is self-motivated It is essential that you have knowledge and experience of delivering a curriculum and a good understanding of quality processes aligned the Common Inspection Framework. Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Line manage full time FL tutors and be the first point of contact and provide remote and face to face support and coaching to the team
  • Contribute to the recruitment of full time tutors and oversee their induction training
  • Performance management and appraisal process for full time tutors
  • Working with the Head of Quality and Enhancement and the delivery team, oversee the development of schemes of work and session plans
  • Coordinate and contribute to the training and development of all tutors including mandatory training and post observation training needs
  • Lead team meetings with full time tutors
  • Conduct your role in line with the company values and expected behaviours
  • Implement and comply with the Safeguarding and Health and Safety Policies
  • Ensure the maintenance of confidentially and professionalism at all time
  • Promote equal opportunities and recognition of diversity throughout the company
  • Provide support, feedback and guidance to learners on VRQ programmes ensuring regular contact is maintained
  • Carry out assessments and provide robust feedback confirming assessment decision in accordance with the Awarding Body requirements, a sample of the assessments will be assessed by our team of internal moderators
  • Ensure timely achievements are met, including retention and achievement targets by implementing strategies and supporting learners
  • Provide robust exit advice to learners as they set personal goals for career progression
  • Maintain strong links with team members, ensuring all activity is complementary and utilises existing knowledge, expertise, resources and industry business links within our organisation
  • Manage own continued professional development through undertaking relevant training and sharing best practice
  • Make initial contact with learners within 3 days of allocation and maintain regular contact
  • Address any actions identified by the internal moderation team within a period of 10 days
  • Attend mandatory standardisation meetings and other meetings where required
