Develop understanding and skills un units such as: designing and creating nail art, air brush designs, enhancing nails with electric files, wraps, promoting products and contributing to the financial effectiveness of a business.

Completing nail services on a one-to-one basis with individual customers/clients within commercial timings.

Learn about applying, maintaining and removing LED gel polish products to the nails. Covers the skills and knowledge required to prepare for the service and maintain effective health, safety and hygiene working practices throughout the treatment.

Covers consulting with the client, recognising any contra-indications, preparing for the service and producing a service plan. It also covers filing and buffing the nails, using skin and cuticle treatments, massaging the hand and lower arm and providing a suitable nail finish.

This qualification will give you the opportunity to perform your own basic hair and beauty services alongside assisting others in the salon. And includes and introduction to the hair and beauty sector and how to present a professional image in a salon.
