Course Overview

If you want to learn about equality and diversity in different contexts, this course will give you a great understanding of the different issues affecting equality and diversity in society today. You will gain an insight into the wide-ranging legislation that's needed to create a workplace centred on fairness, dignity and respect.

What will I learn?

You will gain an insight into the wide-ranging legislation that's needed to create a workplace centred on fairness, dignity and respect. This course is made up of two units:

  • The importance of equality and diversity within different contexts.
  • The different issues affecting equality and diversity in society.

This course is particularly useful if you wish to pursue a career in HR or leadership, but is suitable for anyone.

Eligibility Criteria

This course is government funded, you must meet the following criteria to be able to study for free:

  • You must currently live in England    
  • You must have been resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years, for purposes other than study    
  • You must be over the age of 19   
  • You must not be on an apprenticeship

There is a £125 cancellation fee if you enrol and do not complete or withdraw from the course. This fee is to cover administration costs. 

23% people think leadership are uncomfortable talking about inclusion.
40% of NHS doctors and consultants are from BAME backgrounds.
LGBT population is highest in Brighton and Manchester.
21.1% of people in the North East are classed as disabled in some way.

Once you've finished your course, we'll apply for your certificate. This will be posted to your home address within 6 months of completing your course.
