In an increasingly digital world, cyber security is fast becoming a main concern for many organisations. Recent research suggests that 70% of medium and 74% of large businesses, reported cyber attacks in the last 12 months, with the most common type of cyber threat being phishing. 

This course is a great introductory course into the world of cyber security. You will learn techniques and security checks needed to store data securely, common cyber security threads, and methods to maintain high levels of cyber security.

The duration of this course is 7 weeks.

This course is accredited by NCFE CACHE, a leading awarding organisation, with over 170 experience. NCFE is recognised by the UK Department for Education and regulated by Ofqual.

This course would be important for job roles such as:

    • Forensic Computer Analyst (£25,000 to £60,000)
    • Cyber Intelligence Office (£25,000 to £50,000)
This is an introductory level qualification. As any business can be impacted by cyber security threats, this course is great CPD for employees at all levels, particularly those who handle data or have access to emails and online devices.

Eligibility Criteria

There is Government Funding available for this course as part of the 'Adult Skills Fund'

You must meet the following criteria to be able to study for free:

  • You must currently live in England    
  • You must have been resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years, for purposes other than study    
  • You must be over the age of 19   
  • You must not be on an apprenticeship
