Course Overview
Our Adult Social Care study programme is ideal for school or college leavers aged 16 to 18 years who wish to pursue a career, complete an apprenticeship, or continue further education in health and social care. English and Maths are included if needed.
Complete the Level 2 Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care Principles over 9-12 weeks. Access to the bursary support fund is available for those aged 16-19, subject to eligibility.
What will I learn?
Our Adult Social Care programme covers the following units:
- Principles of safeguarding and protection in adult social care
- Principles of diversity, equality and inclusion in adult social care
- Understand person-centered approaches in adult social care settings
- Understand the role of the Social Care Worker
- Principles of communication in adult social care settings
- Principles of personal development in adult social care settings
Eligibility
This course is government-funded, and you must meet the following criteria to be able to study for free:
- You must currently live in England
- You must be over the age of 16
- Financial support available through bursary support fund
