National training provider, Learning Curve Group, marked two decades of success in style at their annual charity ball, themed the ‘Purple Party’, held last Friday at Hardwick Hall Hotel in County Durham. The event, which celebrated the businesses 20th anniversary, raised an impressive £13,010 for the LCG Charity Foundation.

The ball, sponsored by Scholars School System, NCFE and Aim Qualifications and Assessment Group, brought together around 180 guests for an evening filled with entertainment and fundraising.

Attendees enjoyed a performance by Newcastle band, Wavelength, along with a 360-degree photo booth, a caricaturist, a raffle, an auction, and a lively game of bingo.

Brenda McLeish OBE DL, CEO of Learning Curve Group, said “We are incredibly proud to celebrate 20 years of Learning Curve Group with such a meaningful and fantastic event. The funds raised at our annual charity ball will make a significant impact, supporting communities and individuals across the UK.

“Our foundation is built on the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we are committed to helping those most in need by providing the resources to alleviate poverty, boost skills, and reduce unemployment. I want to thank everyone who attended and contributed to making the evening such a wonderful success!"

Now in it’s ninth year, LCG’s annual ball is the foundation’s biggest fundraiser. Established in 2019 in partnership with Point North, the LCG Charity Foundation is built on three key pillars: alleviating poverty, increasing skills, and reducing unemployment.

The foundation provides grants to organisations whose missions align with these pillars. Since its inception, LCG has raised over £100,000 for the foundation.

To date, the foundation has supported more than 30 charities, donating over £65,000 to causes supporting communities including LGBTQ+ individuals, asylum seekers, women, and the long-term unemployed.

Some of the charities that have benefited from LCG’s support include Refugee Futures, Wheels2Work, Sisters with Voices, the Learning Library, and Building Self Belief.

Funds raised from this year’s ball will continue to support initiatives aligned with the foundation’s core pillars, helping individuals and communities across the UK.
