North East based training provider, Learning Curve Group (LCG), are supporting local racing driver, Dominic Wheatley, in this year's Mini Challenge Trophy. Over the years the MINI Challenge has built a reputation for affordability, fairness and fun, and benefits from being the only Championship to enjoy the support of MINI UK.
Dominic Wheatley, driving for Performance Tek Racing, is currently second in the Championship Standings for the Mini Challenge Trophy and has hopes to finish top at the end of the season. LCG were keen to offer their support through sponsorship of the local racing driver and open up opportunities to get their learners involved and show how passion and determination can lead to brilliant results. LCG’s logo now takes prime spot on the side of the roof of the Performance Tek Racing car.
Dominic was delighted at the opportunity to partner with LCG as he shares the businesses strong values for lifelong learning. Dominic kindly offered a race experience day for one of LCG’s learners and a friend. The learner was invited to Croft race course, the day before the championship race, for a passenger experience with Dominic. Level 1 Bricklaying learner, Rob, from LCG’s Middlesbrough Academy attended the experience day with a friend. Rob successfully completed his level 1 Bricklaying qualification and is currently volunteering at the Middlesbrough Construction Academy as he progresses onto his level 2 qualification.
Dominic Wheatley said: "I’m proud to have partnered with Learning Curve Group to support our team's objective of winning the 2021 Mini Challenge Cooper Championship. The partnership also gives us the opportunity to get learners involved with the car and experience the thrill of competing in this challenging arena. It really is a unique opportunity that aligns with Learning Curve Group’s ethos of transforming lives through learning. I look forward to a strong partnership, and a successful second half of the season."
