National training provider, Learning Curve Group (LCG) announced as a finalist for Employer of the Year at the Regional Apprenticeship Awards for the North East. The business is also celebrating one of their own apprentices, Kayleigh Park, being shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year in the North East.
As a training provider, apprentices are in the LCG's DNA. The business's clear vision in everything they do is to transform lives through learning. The award winning training provider impacts over 200,000 learners a year and their own apprentices are no different.
Digital Marketing Apprentice at LCG, Kayleigh Park, has been recognised by the Apprenticeship Awards for her dedication to gaining new skills and the progression she has made since beginning her apprenticeship programme at LCG. Kayleigh said:“I am delighted to be a finalist for the Regional Apprentice of the Year Award in the North East. I have gained a new confidence within myself since beginning my apprenticeship with LCG and I know this is the career I want. My learning journey has been great and I get amazing support from my tutor and guidance from my team at LCG.”

LCG took on their first apprentice in 2011 and since then they have developed their Purple People Academy which gives young people the opportunity to join LCG and train towards a successful career. The business has recently taken on their third cohort of 10 school and college leavers into their Purple People Academy. These apprentices are training towards qualifications in Digital Marketing, Business Administration, IT and Customer Service within various teams across the whole business.

The training provider is passionate about promoting that apprenticeships aren’t just for school leavers, although understanding the value that apprenticeship programmes can have for those taking their first steps on the career ladder. LCG have members of their management staff across the business and their executive team enrolled onto Level 5 Operational Management apprenticeships and Level 7 MBA programmes.
In the last 5 years LCG have successfully trained over 200 of their own apprentices, many of whom have moved onto further qualifications or permanent employment within the business. As LCG continues to grow nationally, they are dedicated to keep taking on apprentices within their business.
The winners of the Regional Apprenticeship Awards will be announced during an online live stream event on the 25th of October. The winners from each region will then go forward for the National Apprenticeship Awards, which will take place on the 1st of December.
