Learning Curve Group's Access to Higher Education diplomas are part-time, fully online courses that are designed to get you the grades you need to attend university. With seven courses to choose from, including popular Nursing and Midwifery pathways, you will gain valuable study skills, and a foundation of knowledge that sets you up for success.

Our Access to HE courses come with expert support from tutors who have industry and academic experience. Over the course of your diploma, you will attend live online classes, study independently and complete an electronic portfolio. There are no final exams.

Our Access to HE Diplomas are delivered online - making learning accessible, so you can study anywhere. You’ll have access to our online platform, where you can learn independently, build knowledge, and complete interactive sessions which embed your learning.

How is it Funded?

This course is eligible for funding via an Advanced Learner Loan. The Government introduced 19+ Advanced Learner Loans to help adults with the costs of further education courses.

Getting a loan doesn’t depend on your income and there are no credit checks. Advanced Learner Loans don’t get repaid until you earn over £25,000 per year.

If you progress onto a higher education course, Student Finance England will write off any outstanding balances for your Access to HE upon completion of your degree.

Am I Eligible?

To be eligible for this course, there are some entry criteria. You will need:

  • Level 2 Maths and English qualification (GCSE or equivalent)
  • Full use of a laptop and word processing software, such as Microsoft Word or Pages 
  • To be a UK resident for 3+ years for purposes other than study

If you don't have your Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English, we can support you through Functional Skills qualifications.

Support with your UCAS application

As part of all access courses, you will receive full UCAS application support. You'll start your journey with our 'study skills hub' which aims to develop the skills required for future progression throughout the Access to HE diploma.

Live online classes with specialist tutors

All of our tutors have both industry and academic experience and are specialists in their subjects. Throughout your programme, you will engage in innovative blended learning with live online classes and assignments.

Seminars with experts in the sector

As a learner with us, you'll get the opportunity to take part in extra-curricular events, including webinar events from guest speakers such as NHS professionals, so you can find out what life in the field is actually like!

To ensure your enrolment onto your course is as smooth as possible, we have a dedicated team that go above and beyond to ensure you have quick responses and will work with you to ensure you are fully enrolled, inducted, and set up on programme efficiently.

We'll need to check you meet the eligibility criteria, so a member of the team will contact you to discuss your application. If you're eligible, we'll book you in for an interview.

Don't worry - we know interviews can sound scary, but they're just to make sure that the course is right for you!

Step 3

We'll send you the relevant paperwork

There's some paperwork you'll need to fill out for us to process your enrolment. If you're funding the course through an Advanced Learner Loan, we'll also support you with your Student Finance England application. 

It's really important you get the paperwork back to us as soon as possible so your start date isn't delayed. 

Step 4

Welcome onboard!

You'll attend an initial induction webinar, get access to your online platform where you will work through assignments, and begin sessions with your tutor.
